The CTM brace (Chêneau-Toulouse-Munster) is recommended for the treatment of adolescents progressive scoliosis. It is today the preferred brace for the treatment of scoliosis because its design made of plastic moulded in one shell makes it both discreet and effective.
Adjustment of the correction is made by semi-rigid pads and in front of them are located open expansion chambers which facilitate the work of self-correction.
The manufacturing of the CTM corset starts by plaster moulding or computer digitalisation the trunk generally in a standing position. Recent X-rays front and lateral view of the entire spine are required.
Because of the growth, the brace must be renewed on average every 12 months.
