The shoulder is a complex structure made up of 2 joints (the glenohumeral joint and the acromioclavicular joint) and 4 muscles (converging to form the rotator cuff). Shoulder problems, caused by injury or wear and tear, can affect the joints, tendons or nerves.
ACTION PRINCIPLE:
Thuasne shoulder braces use the Dujarrier principle. They immobilise the arm "elbow to body": with the arm at 90° to the fore-arm.
Immobilisation has an analgesic and protective effect and allows the injury to heal.
